I finally bought and do not have to put the water bottle behind my jacket. The product is inexpensive and, in my opinion, sturdy, matching the rack. You can quickly disassemble it and take it with you to the hotel. I could fit my helmet, jacket and some duffel in it without any problem. One of the pads attaching the plate to the frame I had to file a little to make it coincide with the hole in the frame, but this is just my fancy. You can easily screw everything together and it will hold solidly. I drove on "cobblestones" and other rough roads along the eastern border of Poland and did not have to adjust or tighten anything. The spring washers that came with the set hold everything solidly. I have not had a rollover so it is hard for me to say how the trunk will behave in such a situation. I recommend the product.
