General description
- This disc model has a fixed mount.
- The manufacturer's goal was to develop such motorcycle brake discs that would perform better than the original discs and the products of other manufacturers.
- To this end, EBC has been using low-carbon HPSR steel in its production for years. The result is an 18% higher coefficient of friction, and thus greater braking power.
- What's more, thanks to the use of this material, EBC discs have become much more resistant to corrosion than cast iron discs and cheaper competitor products. The surface of the disc was additionally coated with a layer of zinc with a thickness of 3 microns, which will wear off during the first braking. This treatment protects the disc from corrosion outbreaks before it is installed in the vehicle.
- Most models of EBC brake discs are additionally drilled in order to more effectively drain water and dust from the linings. The number of holes is the smallest possible, as each hole minimally reduces the braking force, but they result in a product with much greater durability than an undrilled disc.
- Each disc is machined on lathes with a higher accuracy regime before leaving the factory. This treatment confirms that the disc is perfectly round and will be suitable for extreme applications.
- The discs have been assigned to motorcycles.
