We'll see, but it seems to me that it won't - in my opinion you should simply close the glass, holding the latch with your fingers to the very end, then you close the viewfinder very smoothly and gently. If someone was grabbing the glass, closing it quickly and violently, and the latch made a loud "CLICK" every time, it's no wonder that after a season the glass to be replaced. -As for the volume, it is average. It is, of course, much more muted than the budget LS2, and even similarly muted as the high-end Premier. So classic: around town and "around the chimney" it is pleasant without stopwatches, and when we go on a longer trip we put on stopwatches and it is fine :) -Aerodynamics is very, very good!
