I replaced the protectors in my motorcycle jeans with this model. At the factory they had D3O protectors on. Unfortunately, they caused chafing on my knees after prolonged riding. These fit much better on the knee and there are no chafing problems. Very lightweight and flexible plastic. Aesthetically they look a little worse than the Sas-Tec copies put on Held's factory pants, but in a "blind test" they are indistinguishable.
