JMP telescope support tubes are made of special C-Mn manganese steel to give them high hardness and linear longitudinal elasticity (high Young's modulus). The material comes from one of the best steel mills in Europe, specializing for many years in making tubes for suspensions and other components for hydraulic systems.
All JMP telescope support tubes are coated with an outer layer of technical chrome about 0.03mm thick to make the working sliding surface smooth, hard and resistant to corrosion, while subsequent grinding and polishing on several specialized machines makes the product scratch-resistant.
Each product undergoes individual quality control. Dimensions, quality of plating, quality of cartridge seating and radial runout are checked.
The carrier tubes are delivered in cardboard packaging.
