Be sure to check the condition of the water pump repurposing, if there is damage to the simmering ring and liquid enters the bearing then the bearing may seize. If one of the bearings stands, then there will be a drastic increase in temperature and melting of the water pump drive wheel and, ultimately, the engine will boil and seize.
