I ride a Yamaha MT-03 built in 2016 and after some research I deliberately chose the HifloFiltro HF204 oil filter - and I am absolutely satisfied! As soon as you unpack it, you notice that the filter makes a high-quality impression, clean workmanship, solid materials and everything looks well thought out. Installation went smoothly - it fits perfectly on my MT-03 without any fiddling. I had previously fitted the original filter from Yamaha and I don't see any difference in terms of quality, on the contrary: the HifloFiltro looks at least as good, if not better. What I particularly like is that the filter is TÜV-approved and complies with OEM specifications, so you can be sure that it is absolutely reliable in terms of filter performance. After the oil change with this filter (in combination with a high-quality 10W-40 oil), the engine ran smoothly and quietly again straight away. No leaks, not a drop of oil - everything was clean and tight. Even after several hundred kilometers, everything is as it was on the first day. Since then, I have the feeling that the engine runs a little smoother - whether this is purely subjective or actually due to the combination of fresh oil and this high-quality filter remains to be seen. But the driving experience is great! What's more, the price is unbeatable. Compared to the original part, the HF204 is a very inexpensive but absolutely equivalent (if not better) replacement in terms of quality. For anyone who maintains their MT-03 themselves and values reliable parts, this is a clear recommendation. I will definitely use the HifloFiltro HF204 again for my next oil change. Top quality, easy installation, good fit and a fair price-performance ratio - it doesn't get any better than this!

The filter of a very decent brand. I buy it all the time and have never been disappointed. A very big plus is that it can be unscrewed with a socket wrench. If someone has little space, as I do, to do anything at the filter then such a head on the filter is salvation. It is a little more expensive than the standard version but worth every penny. Last time I had a regular filter I had to perforate it and pour oil in the exhaust pipes to unscrew it , in this case the replacement was clean, fast and above all simple! I recommend

It fits the 2008 Yamaha XVS 1300 VStar. But I personally recommend, however, to order a filter with a keyed end, because when replacing it, you have to punch holes in the old filter to unscrew it. (No room for specialized tools) And when screwing on the new one, you have to tighten with an old-style leather strap, because another tool will not fit, and in your hands you will not tighten enough also due to lack of space.
