My problem was a molded insert, but since I'm trying on a general overhaul I ordered the whole thing hoping that in the end I won't have to fight with the gears. After the first inspection, the quality of the alloy (aluminum?) does not throw off the quality seems quite fragile. This was confirmed during assembly. After assembling it came the moment to tighten the whole thing rigidly to the steering wheel. Unfortunately, I used too much force and the clamp that holds the menatke to the steering wheel shot off. Also, I caution against this, tighten with sensitivity! The whole thing makes up for it with a good fit, no extra drilling, grinding, etc. All screw locations drilled properly. Assemble, lubricate, lightly adjust and the gears go in smoothly, smoothly and, most importantly, do not fall out.
