General description
What are throttle stabilizers?
A throttle stabilizer is a throttle control mechanism that allows the cyclist to secure the throttle to the desired opening or setting. The Kaoko throttle stabilizer kit consists of a simple, ingenious and robustly designed friction nut that is integrated with a special Kaoko™ handlebar weight. The Kaoko™ steering wheel weight is closely matched in appearance and weight to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) steering wheel weight. Most installations simply require removing the OEM steering wheel weight and installing the Kaoko throttle stabilizer kit in its place.
Operation of the Kaoko throttle stabilizer:
To activate: While turning the throttle, the friction nut can be grasped between your little finger and palm. This action tightens the nut and provides enough friction to set the throttle to the desired opening. (The friction is such that the driver can still open and close the throttle. It just has a slight rotational resistance).
To disengage: While releasing the throttle, grasp the friction nut between your little finger and palm. When properly disconnected, the throttle should open and close freely.
Safety?
It cannot be locked
It can be repositioned in an instant
Its operation is natural and instinctive
Fully trusted by "Big Name" distributors in the US, Europe and Australia
5-year functional warranty; however, Kaoko's cruise control should work for the lifetime of the motorcycle it is installed in.
Can I install the Kaoko throttle stabilizer kit myself?
Each Kaoko throttle stabilizer kit comes with a set of unique and detailed product installation instructions. Installation is quick and easy and can be done in a matter of minutes. In most cases, installing the Kaoko Throttle Stabilizer simply requires removing the OEM throttle rod side weight and replacing it with the Kaoko Throttle Stabilizer Kit. Please read our terms and conditions before purchasing.
