Suzuki repair manual
General description
- The BMC cotton filter element (4 layers of filtering cotton) is made of the best materials available on the market. As a result, impurities are filtered out without loss of flow. This ensures that resistance to air flow through the filter is reduced to the minimum necessary, directly affecting engine wear and performance.
- BMC filters consist of:
- a rubber frame, made without joints,
- a gasoline- and oil-resistant aluminum mesh.
- Four layers of cotton gauze soaked in special oil.
- The BMC filter does not need to be replaced. It only needs to be subjected to periodic cleaning and soaking. In addition, replacing the air filter with a high-flow BMC filter does not involve replacing any motorcycle components.
- For cleaning and soaking BMC filters, we recommend a special set of preparations: 714.02.36
