I ride a MZ ETZ 250, and I purchased the elbow from the auction sometime earlier there. Visually-ok. The chrome is not of sensational quality, there are visible traces of machining of the element under it. Chrome is applied directly (not as it should be, i.e. a primer of Cu, then Ni and finally only Cr. But let's move on. The installation was not without some problems, namely the flange of the elbow had to be ground a little from the outside because it did not fit into the mounting location in the cylinder. Besides, even a solid tightening and the use of a gasket in this place did not ensure tightness. Now after 3 years I bought the same elbow again and the matter looks a little better as far as the fit is concerned - I didn't have to grind anything - everything sits nicely and nothing leaks from under the nut, and I screwed it together without a gasket. The quality of chrome is as it was, you just need to clean the elbow properly after each ride (especially in the rain), lubricate it with petroleum jelly for the winter and it will live a while. Better elbows probably do not exist for the time being, unless someone has an original DDR then you know how it looks like.
