General description
- RK 520 XSO2 series drive chain (successor to 520 XSO chain). New in 2021!
- The 520 XSO2 series chains have been sealed with RX-rings. As a result, you get a perfectly sealed chain that holds up to four reservoirs of grease to further protect the chain from the destructive effects of moisture and dirt.
- Unlike its predecessor, RK decided to completely change the chain's material. The company conducted an extensive study of the conditions in which the 520 XSO chains were used. It turned out that most drivers used them in city traffic, not reaching maximum speeds. Instead, frequent starts and braking (e.g., in front of traffic signals) led to fatigue wear of the chain. Hence the change of material to a more tensile-resistant one.
- The opinions of another group of users - enduro motorcycle riders - were also important. For them, what matters is the durability and resistance of the chain to the huge overloads that accompany them during jumps, for example. They, too, will notice a significant improvement in the quality of the new RK 520 XSO2 chain.
- Technical modifications (change of material type) allowed to expand the range of application of the new chains from max. 750 cm3 (for RK 520 XSO) to max. 800 cm3 (for RK 520 XSO2).
